Stay here! This place is amazing, as is the host Rebecca! The photos do not do it justice. I had my 30th here with about 30 people in total for the party and 11 stayings overnight. The property is great for an event - the house is centred around the pool and outdoor deck area, which is big and gorgeous, and overlooks the beautiful farmland. There is so much space including one inside table and one outside table both which could seat 15 people each. Good sound system inside although we brought our own speakers for out by the pool, which worked well. There is a BBQ. There are a couple of minor downsides (the ovens don’t get very hot and the hot water stopped working temporarily and the drinking water tastes a bit odd) but honestly, it’s just a beautiful house. Rebecca was so friendly and helpful, while also being very respectful of our privacy. The property feels very private in general too. An absolutely great experience!

Such a great stay! An amazing house with the most incredible views. So much space to spread out on the grass for kids to play on. Taylan and Rebecca were incredibly accomodating and nothing was too much trouble for them.

We had such a wonderful stay! Rebecca was a fantastic host and super easy to deal with. Rebecca’s home has everything you could possibly need to ensure an enjoyable stay! Rebecca was very accommodating, kept us well informed before and during our stay, and her home was very clean. We hope to come back again in future, thanks for being such a wonderful host!!

About the space

The North Wing of our main homestead is self-contained with private entry and private access to the main veranda, pool and alfresco area. With three bedrooms (sleeping 13), 2.5 half bathrooms and large kitchen/dining and living area, it is perfect for families and large groups. We are self-efficient being off the grid, with our power and water coming from natural resources, we welcome you to experience a unique off the grid farm stay experience.

The space

Our property, Seven Hills Tallarook is an off the grid commercial goat and livestock farm servicing local and Melbourne high-end restaurants with goat meat. The property is 600 acres, with the main homestead sitting in the North-East corner, we allow you to explore the property and interact with the animals at your leisure. We have 9 pet goats that live in the house paddock to welcome you, along with three friendly dogs, one cat and a handful of chickens that lay the best fresh eggs for those yummy breakfasts.

Guest access

The entire property apart from private areas (marked) is available for guests to explore. Guests have private access to the pool and alfresco area. Our family lives on the other end of the homestead. You will have complete privacy and will not see us unless we are working outside with the animals or in the sheds as we are a working farm.

Other things to note

As previously mentioned, our property is entirely off the grid therefore we ask guests to be mindful of their power consumption. We will never take away from your comfort, however, if you are not in the room, turn the lights off. If you are out for the day, please leave the air conditioner off, and/or heating too. We respectfully ask that your showers are also kept to a minimum also to preserve water levels in the tank.

At times, we can operate of bore water, especially during summer months due to the lack of rain. The water from our bore can take slightly salty as it is high in minerals. The water is completely safe and drinkable. We use the water to cook, shower, in the toilets, for tea and coffee. We will supply one bottle of water per person per night, however, we would suggest bringing extra.
