Statistical Data in the form of EBV (Estimated Breeding Values) can help you make selective choices which assist in making a decision on the future of your animals, production costs and ultimately the profitability of your enterprise.

The easiest Estimated Breeding Value is average daily weight gain.    This is achieved by weighing the animal as soon as it is born and then weighing it again at 100 days.   This will average out the daily weight gain of your animals and makes an allowance for your feeding regime and your environment.
