This Calendar of Events has been developed by a Veterinarian as a guide for those situated in Victoria, Australia but could adapted for other climatic conditions, regions, countries and seasonal conditions.

JANUARY	Sort does for mating – body condition and breeding history Increase feed regime for buck and does Check and foot pare any animals Iodine drench (if required) Bucks to be assessed for body condition and breeding soundness
FEBRUARY	Mate does
MARCH	Remove buck from does
APRIL	Check does for pregnancy with ultrasound
MAY	Vaccinate does Worm test and drench Increase feed for does Condition score does and increase feed regime for does in poor body condition.
JUNE	Move does to fresh paddock for kidding Ensure enough shelter for all does Vaccinate newly born kids Clip naval cord Weigh and tag all newborn kids
JULY	Separate does and their kids into the following groups to ensure feeding regimes match the rearing requirements of the kids: Mothers with single kids Mothers with twin kids Mothers with triplets or more kids Start creep feeding kids
AUGUST
SEPTEMBER	Wean and wether male kids Weigh kids Drench if required.
OCTOBER	Wean female kids Weigh kids Drench if required.
NOVEMBER	Ready those kids for sale or slaughter Reduce feed for does to maintenance regime.
DECEMBER
